La Cerisaie

Overview

It is located between Lacoste and Bonnieux at the heart of the Luberon Natural Park, one of the 350 biospheres of the planet listed by UNESCO. The house has three bedrooms, a large dormitory, and four bathrooms; it is perfect for three couples and up to eight children.

The completely enclosed property has panoramic views of the Luberon valley, hilltop villages and Mont Ventoux, a landscaped garden with several terraces set into the hillside, a tennis court and a large L-shaped swimming pool (17 m x 8.5 m with diving board).

Accommodations

Garden Level

• There are two double bedrooms (one with two single beds, the other with a double bed) with inter-connecting door. Each has a small bathroom (shower, WC, wash-hand basin), and direct access to the garden
• Underground arched cave with freezer
• Laundry room with a central heating unit, water-softener, washer, dryer, and a professional ironing machine

Ground Floor

• Vast open living room nicely decorated with painted walls of bunches of bougainvillea, many paintings of contemporary artists. The living room opens onto a porch with an arbour, BBQ, and outdoor table for 12 + 6 guests
• Open and central cooking area with fully equipped kitchen including a 'La Cornue' cooker, hood, large refrigerator, microwave, professional dishwasher (washing in 4 minutes), food processors, coffee Expresso machine, ice-cream freezer
• Dining room with 2 tables, tablecloths embroidered in the name of the property 'La Cerisaie'
• The salon has a beautiful Provencal fireplace, L-shaped sofa, armchairs, coffee table, piano, satellite TV (US, GB and Middle-East channels), stereo system, DVD player, etc.
• Huge spiral staircase to the upper levels, made of Espei stone (a local stone)
• Guest toilet

First Floor

• The master bedroom has a king size bed, cupboards, telephone, and complete bathroom with shower, bath-tub, 2 basins, direct opening onto the private terrace. A cot is available
• The office opens onto a terrace and has a small piano, fax machine, internet connection, and TV with satellite channels
• Separate WC
• This floor is not allowed for children under 18 years old

Second Floor

• Vast room that serves as a dormitory for children. It has a 40 cm high wooden podium with 8 single beds, many cupboards, a playing area, and desk corners
• Separate WC and a shower-room with 2 showers and 2 basins.

Outside

• The outdoor area has a kiosk with benches in the shape of a snail and shaded table
• Shower ingeniously hidden in a former stone well
• 2 Fountains (which are not protected) and planted garden of lavenders, boxwood, cherry trees, cypress, rose trees and on a lower level of the garden a section “à la Francaise” garden
• The L-shaped swimming pool (17 m x 8.5 m) with diving board is protected by a wrought iron fence
• Private tennis court
• The opportunity exists to organize very large parties outside in the garden within the 7 hectares of land planted with vines that produce 'Côte du Luberon' wines
